Four New Inscriptions Were Found In The Ancient Site Of Knidos.

In the Datça district of Muğla, four inscriptions made of Umayyad marble and limestone have been discovered during archaeological excavations underway in the roughly 3,000-year-old ancient site of Knidos.

Prof. Dr. Ertekin Doksanaltı, the head of the excavation team, explained that these inscriptions belong to the Umayyads who lived in Knidos between 685-and 711 AD.
