Granted, Amos, which dates back 2,200 years, is everything but a resort. A modest theatre with a view of the ocean is the most significant building that still stands in Amos.

The Bozburun Peninsula’s centre is where Bayır Köyü is located. In this little Turkish town, people enjoy Turkish tea under a 200-year-old plane tree while listening to the sound of rushing water in the background. There’s something comforting about stopping here.

Those who have taken a boat tour around the peninsula have most likely stopped at Serçe Limanı, a well-known harbour that is the location of Captain Nemos Farm Restaurant. The restaurant is only open in the summer, allowing the rest of the year for the place to get back to its natural state.

Although the bay is breathtaking, the journey there also merits recognition. You will drive towards the harbour from Taşlıca until you get to what appears to be a closed road. The gate’s main function is to keep animals in; it is not designed to keep people out.

The Turgut waterfall, also known as şelale in Turkish, is located not far from the small village of Turgut. This waterfall eventually makes up for its height with its beautiful surroundings. A little river that flows into the sea divides the settlement of Turgut in half. The town is well-known for its locally grown produce and carpet dealers, and it has maintained its true identity. As is typically the case, there are a few legends associated with the beach known as Kızkumu Beach.

A local girl wished to meet her partner, according to one of the reports. She decided to reach her sweetheart by filling the water with sand after putting some in the hem of her skirt. She drowned, sadly, because there was not enough sand.

These days, the beach has a surge of visitors during peak season but reverts to its natural nature throughout the remaining part of the year. In addition to being well-liked on Instagram and other social media platforms, Kızkumu Beach is praised for its calm, shallow waves and its enclosed harbour.
